Annual Report 2008-9

Verandah Post Films’ first productions in 2003 were short comedy/dramas. However over the last year they have been involved in various community-based projects.

The main activity has been filming local dramatic productions and producing DVDs of the shows. This provided an opportunity for members to gain valuable experience with the camera, the editing studio and DVD production. Productions filmed included Peter Pan, Oliver, Cinderella and Cosi.

The DVDs also provided a revenue source, to cover such running expenses as equipment insurance and tape stock, as they were available for purchase, both pre-ordered and in the Bowraville Theatre.

In the coming year, VPF has dramatic works in development for short films and will be casting locally for the productions. They will also be actively seeking new members, both experienced and novice, who are interested in becoming involved in local film production.
